Over the phone
Preparation.
Please have the copies of the following documents and have your credit card details ready before calling so your SAC declaration can be processed as quickly as possible.
You will need access to email so you can scan and send me the following documents:
- Freight documents or arrival notice
- Invoice(s) or proof of the cost of the goods ( Paypal/Credit Card receipt or bank statement)
- Evidence of Identity ( Driver’s licence / Passport)
Please look at SAC Declaration Information for more information about the above documents
Step 1.
Call me and I will explain the complete SAC declaration process and answer any questions you have.
Step2.
I will ask a series of questions relating to your shipment which will act as a declaration to Customs. You are responsible and accountable for providing true and correct information relating to your goods. Any misleading or false information may result in legal action, the seizure/forfeiture of the goods or the re-export of the goods at your expense.
Step 3.
Email your documents to me. Once I have received them I will review them and then contact you for the next step.
Step 4.
Complete payment of services by credit card.
Step 5. Wait.
When I receive your shipment status I will notify you of what actions you need to take. ( This usually takes about ½ an hour)
The status of your goods will usually be CLEAR or HELD
CLEAR means Customs and AQIS are satisfied with the information you have provided and have released your goods. This means that you can collect your goods from the cargo terminal operator / depot.
HELD means either Customs or AQIS require further information before they can release the goods. This can include Quarantine processing, inspection of goods, concern over the goods being imported (prohibited or restricted goods) or waiting for the screening period to expire.
Step 6.
If your goods have a HELD status I will discuss this with you and what actions need to be taken. Once this action has been finalised I will notify you when your goods have a CLEAR status.
